I went to the movies on Cheap Tuesday, and got exactly what I wanted.
When we walked into the theatre, I saw rows upon rows of lazy boy chairs. Even better, the chairs could recline without kicking the person’s head in front.
The wow factor was two-fold: somehow, this old theatre had tapped into a need that no other theatre in my experience had met - ridiculous, in-your-own-living-room comfort. Secondly, they did it in such an understated way, with a low low price of the Tuesday $4.25, that I somehow felt the theatre was doing me a favour in letting me purchase said inexpensive ticket.
Good on ya, Imperial Cinema 8!
